On April 21, 2026, Ginette Desjardins passed away at the Rivière-Saguenay while 76 years and 8 months old. She was the wife of the late Raymond Gingras and lived in Chicoutimi. She was the daughter of the late Liliane Gagnon and Benoît Desjardins.
The family will receive friends and family on Saturday, May 2, 2026, from 1 PM to 4 PM at the Rive-Nord Funeral Complex (Ste-Claire). A farewell celebration will be held the same day at 4 PM at the same location, with the ceremony being streamed live for those who wish to participate remotely.
She is survived by her children: Hugo Gingras (Isabelle Mayrand), Mélanie (Marc-Éric Gagnon), and Karine (Marc-André Robert), as well as her grandchildren: Laury-Anne Gingras (Christophe Biron), Mathéo Gagnon, Illyana Gagnon, and Olivia Gagnon. She was the sister of Denise (Marcel Cossette), Andrée (Marcel Houle), Chantale, Angello (Nathalie St-Amant), and Mario.
Her sister-in-law of the late Fernando Gingras (and Carmen Plourde), the late Rose-Yvette (and Léger Gaudreault), Jacques (and Henriette Arseneault), Régis (Linda Lavoie), Bernadette (Jacques Cayer), Carole (Ghyslain Galarneau), the late Nicole, Marjolaine (André Poitras), Albéric, Gabriel, the late Jean-Eudes, Noémie, the late Véronique, Ferdinand, Émilie, and Madeleine.
She also leaves many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. The family wishes to thank the staff at the Rivière-Saguenay Rivière-Saguenay MA for the excellent care they provided.
