Gladys Miller Nix

Gladys Miller Nix, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, went home to be with the Lord peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on August 28, 2026.

Born on January 3, 1932, she lived a long and meaningful life filled with love, family, and cherished memories. She was a member of Oak Mountain Baptist Church for 26 years. She leaves behind a beautiful legacy that will continue through the many generations of her family.

She is survived by her loving daughters, Cindy Bearden and Lynn Nix.She was a proud grandmother to Crystal Wilson and husband Toby Wilson, and Daniel Bearden and fiancé Shawnn.Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren, Ashley Alexander and husband Caleb Alexander, Austin Wilson, Breanne Link and husband Chandler Link, and Brody Bearden.She was also blessed with great-great-grandchildren, Barrett Alexander and Waylon Bearden.She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Nix; her parents, Mattie Lou Thomas and Argie Miller; and her six siblings.She leaves behind a lifetime of memories and a family who will forever carry her love in their hearts. Her strength, love, and the memories she created will live on through each generation of her family.Although she will be deeply missed, the love she gave and the legacy she leaves behind will never be forgotten. She will forever hold a special place in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Her life was a blessing, her memory a treasure. She was loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure.
