Jacqueline "Jackie" Jackson

29 septembre 2026 Dignity Memorial

Jacqueline Jackson, affectionately known as Jackie, was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She lived in Washington, D.C., and Liverpool, New York, before moving to North Miami, Florida, around 1996, where she remained until her death. She suffered a brain aneurysm and never fully recovered.

Jackie was a firecracker growing up. She was lively, energetic, bold, and full of spirit. She lit up a room without even trying. She was striking, possessing a rare and undeniable blend of beauty, deep compassion, grace, and intelligence. Her sense of humor was infectious, and she had an extraordinary ability to find light in any predicament.

As the middle child growing up in the 1960s and 1970s, Jackie was bold and fiercely independent. She forged her own path. As a teenager and young adult, she worked hard, earned a cosmetology degree from Wilfred Academy of Hair and Beauty Culture in Philadelphia, and attended Oswego State University of New York and Howard University in Washington, D.C. Her talent and passion for beauty also led her to style actress, singer, and former Miss America Vanessa Williams.

Jackie’s intelligence, magnetism, and savvy nature supported her as she successfully navigated various entrepreneurial endeavors throughout her life. Although she faced adversity and challenges both growing up and as an adult, she remained deeply loyal, loving, and steadfast.

Jackie’s deepest and most lasting mark will be the beautiful spirit she shared with everyone she touched.

Above all, Jacqueline loved and cared deeply for others, and she was always willing to do whatever she could to help. Her kindness was evident in the many ways she showed up, listened, advised, encouraged, and gave of herself. She was a mother, grandmother, sister, a source of wisdom, a helping hand, and a presence that cannot be replaced.

Her life is not defined by its final days, but by the sixty-two years that preceded them—by the people she loved, the laughter she shared, the memories she created, and the lives that are different because she was here.

Forever in Our Hearts

Jacqueline is lovingly remembered by her children, Anthony Williamson, Amanda Williamson, Aliha Phillipe, and Armon Wright; her grandchildren, Daylan Calloway and Aria Adams; and her siblings, Deborah Matthes, Stephanie Fryer-Henriques, and Devon Fryer, along with extended family, friends, and all whose lives she touched.
