It is with deep sadness that we announce the unexpected death on Monday, August 31st, 2026 of Jaime Wilkins-Vaillancourt at her home in Kipawa, QC. in her 50th year of life.
Born in Sarnia, Ontario on September 1976, she demonstrated throughout the years that she was a fierce fighter, conquering every challenge that life threw in her way. A graduate of Canadore College where she obtained her licence as a AMT. It was there that she met the love of her life, Eric Vaillancourt. Together they built a successful outfitter’s business (Dumoine Lake Cottages) into one of the premiere fishing and hunting destinations in Northwestern Quebec. More impressively, they built a family together with the birth of three daughters who immediately became the most important people in their lives. Her last successful victory in life was in successfully vanquishing an addiction to opioids which she overcame with her family’s love and support.
