Jean Marcotte

Jean Marcotte, 76, passed away surrounded by family at Maison Michel-Sarrazin on March 20, 2026.

He was the beloved husband of Monique Chamberland and the son of the late Jeannette Lamontagne and the late Lionel Marcotte. He resided in Quebec City.

The family will receive condolences in the presence of the ashes at: Résidence Funéraire Réjean Hamel & Filles inc. 11384, boul. Valcartier Loretteville, Québec, G2A 2M6 Sunday, March 29, 2026, from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM.

A Celebration of the Word will follow at the funeral home at 4:30 PM. Afterward, the ashes will be placed in the columbarium at Résidence Funéraire Réjean Hamel & Filles inc.

He is survived by his partner of 50 years, Monique Chamberland; his two children, Frédérick Marcotte (Marie-Hélène Lachance) and Julie Marcotte Leonard (Andrew Leonard); his six grandchildren: William, Samuel, Amélia, Gabriel, Rosalie, and Elodie; his brothers and sister: Jacques Marcotte (Aline Marcotte), Michel Marcotte, and Louise Marcotte; as well as his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, and many dear friends.

The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to the staff at CLSC La Source and Maison Michel-Sarrazin for their dedication, the high quality of care provided, and the support they offered.
