John M. McGeoghegan, age 77, of Peotone, IL, passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2026. He was a proud veteran who served in the U.S. Army and later worked as an electrician in telecommunications at the University of Illinois-Chicago. John loved fishing, hunting, camping, and cherished time with his dogs and family out in nature. He is survived by his wife Mary H. McGeoghegan, children John (Bridget) and Patricia, grandchildren Kyla and Colin, and sister Kathryn (James) Zygutis. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, and his aunt.
