We are saddened to announce that John Raymond MacWhirter aged 64 of Grand Cascapedia passed away peacefully in his sleep the morning of June 28. 2024.A kind, hard-working and positive man who moved to the area in 2018 for retirement after living out the majority of his life in Ontario.Predeceased by his father Gerald "Scott" MacWhirter, survived by his mother Ellen "Claudette" Beauchemin, brother to Mary (Steve) and James, father to Scott (Danielle) and Shiloh, grandfather to Quinton and Danica.Arrangements to be determined at a later date.Professional services have been entrusted to the Henri Thibodeau Funeral Home inc., a subsidiary of the HG Division network certified Distinction by the corporation des thanatologues du Quebec and by the Bureau de normalisation du Quebec.The management and staff of HG Division offer their deepest sympathies to the family and thank them for their trust.
