Josée Poirier

Josée Poirier, native of Lambton and resident of Stornoway, passed away at the CSSS du Granit de Lac-Mégantic on September 4, 2026, at the age of 64. She was the daughter of the late Hermas Poirier and Muguette Proteau, and wife of Jean Cameron. The family will receive friends at the Centre Communautaire de Stornoway on September 19, 2026, from 8:00 AM to 10:45 AM. The funeral service will be held on the same day at 11:00 AM at the Church of St. Alphonse in Stornoway. Her urn will be placed in the Jacques & Fils columbarium in Lac-Mégantic at a later date. Josée leaves behind her husband Jean Cameron, her children Jeff (Vicky Harnis), Alex (Marilyn Parent), and Shayne, her grandchildren Émy, Léa, Zoé, Élyanne, and Chloé, her siblings Richard Poirier (Louise Morin), Roch (Jacynthe Gosselin), Johanne (François Blais), and René (Renée Boutin), her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Lawrence (the late Francine Bolduc), Gisèle (André Campeau), and Ginette (Réal Breton), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. The family expresses their support with dignity, discretion, empathy, and respect.
