Joseph Gerard Rufin (Rufus) Arsenault

Passed away peacefully following a lengthy battle with dementia. Beloved husband of 68 years to Norma (née Bourque), Rufus leaves behind a lifetime of cherished memories with his loving family. Devoted father to Gerry, Warren, Ron (Cheryl Barron), Ray (Sue Simatos), and Valerie (Adrian Borys). Proud and loving grandfather to Cory (Julia), Nick (Dina), Alex, Kitiara, Ella, and Jeremy, and treasured great-grandfather to Cosima. He was born in Adamsville, New Brunswick, and married Norma while serving with NATO in Germany. Known for his generosity, dependability, and quick wit, Rufus was a community-minded entrepreneur involved in various businesses in Valois Village. He was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion in Pointe-Claire. He spent his final days at the Centre d’Hébergement de LaSalle. The family requests donations to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada.
