Judith "Judi" Lorna Johnson

Judith L. Johnson, age 84, of Goodyear, Arizona passed away on Friday, September 25, 2026, in Goodyear. She was born on August 18, 1942, in Crosby, Minnesota to Loren and Lavonne Holman.

Judi built her life on faith, family and friends. The table was where those things met. Family dinners, Holiday meals and lunches with friends mattered to her, and she gave special care to her favorite beginning and end of a meal, the appetizers and the dessert.

She grew up a Pastor’s daughter and remained steadfast as the world changed. She did not dwell on what was ugly. She looked for beauty and she made it; in sewing, in reading, in a decorated room (with purple accents), a garden and a batch of something baked. Road trips were how she liked to see the world, always with someone she loved beside her. She will be missed and remembered always.

She is survived by her loving husband, Vern Johnson, daughter, Jolene Rasmussen, son, Joel Rasmussen; two sisters, Renae Hofman and Shirley Stefsen; five grandchildren, Justin, Jordan, Jensine, Jaela and Jadon; three great-grandchildren, Jacey, Nevaeh and Jeren.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Johnson Residence, 18337 W Piedmont Road, Goodyear, AZ 85338, on November 5, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
