Katsi' tsentha Catherine Montour Longboat

Surrounded by her loving family, Katsi’tsentha Catherine Montour Longboat passed away peacefully, on August 20, 2026, at the age of 86.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Tom Longboat Jr. ; by her parents James P. Montour and Sarah Phillips Montour; her twin sister, Caroline; her brother, Louie; and her sister, Belva.

She leaves to mourn :Her eldest daughter Colleen (Terry) and their children Tiffany (Brett), Thia (Rawentiiohstha), Kahente (Austin) and Kaienteri (Kane);Her middle daughter Darlene and her children Emily and Mackenzie (Kiefer);Her youngest daughter Julia “Juju” and her daughters Amy (Jake), Jessica (Joey) and Anna;Her 25 great grand children;Her sister Cecilia;Her brother Jerry (Suzie);As well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The visitations will be help at Colleen and Terry’s house (Cemetery Road) Saturday August 22, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. until Monday August 24, 2026, 2:30 p.m. for the service. The burial will follow at the cemetery on Zachary Road.

The family wishes to thank the many caregivers at Turtle Bay Elders Lodge, where Catherine resided for several years. They also extend their thanks to the nursing staff at Kateri Memorial Hospital Center (KMHC) for caring for Catherine during her short time there.
