Lindsay Brewer Papke

27 septembre 2026 Dignity Memorial

It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of Lindsay Brewer Papke, born July 6, 1955, ascended to heaven on September 27, 2026.

Lindsay is survived by her son, Grey, nieces and nephews Tim, Angel, Noel, Mariah, Elijah, Judah, and many unofficially adopted children, not to mention her extended family of deer who called her backyard home. Preceded in death by parents Leonard and Alma Brewer, brother Bryant, and dogs Icon, Buddy, Teddy, and Jack.

Lindsay was known for her deep love of God, her family, her music, and her dogs. She had an eccentrically optimistic personality and viewed the world through childlike eyes filled to the brim with curiosity and wonder. She will be remembered as a pianist, organist, and teacher who dedicated her career to serving God and entertaining the masses with her rock and roll symphonies.

She was deeply devoted to the Detroit Tigers, Bob Dylan, and the preservation of nature. There was little she enjoyed more than a slice of pizza and a Tigers game on TV, preferably at the same time. We will all miss her ability to make everyone around her smile, laugh, and cry within five minutes of each other.

We welcome friends and family to share memories and photos on this page as we honor her life.

“I’m ready to go anywhere, I’m ready for to fade

Into my own parade, cast your dancin’ spell my way

I promise to go under it”

Bob Dylan, Mr. Tambourine Man
