Lloyd "Tom" Jarman Jr.

Lloyd Thomas Jarman Jr., age 80 of Shelbyville, Michigan, passed away at his home on September 8, 2026.He was born September 15, 1945, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, to Lloyd Thomas Jarman Sr. and Vagena Geraldine Sommerville Jarman.Lloyd married Marian Frances Peters on August 19, 1972. They celebrated 54 years of marriage.Lloyd attended Wayland Union Adult Education and worked as a journeyman welder. During his career, he worked for Gordon Manufacturing and Steelcase Inc. He retired in May 2001. Lloyd also served in the military, attaining the rank of Private First Class (E-3) and earning recognition as a sharpshooter.Lloyd is survived by his wife, Marian Jarman; children Lloyd T. Jarman III (Laura), Cherry Huss (Tony), Theodore Jarman (Marcie), Dwayne Jarman, Ivy Winwood (Anthony), and Mageze Iyawabay; 26 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. He is also survived by his siblings James Jarman (Janet), Lonnie Jarman (Pardene), Bonnie Adams (Randy), and Tonya Giovannetti (Kaiser); as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents Lloyd Jarman and Vagena Remington; children Kim Kesler (Paul) and Terisa Jarman; and siblings Vagena McDonough, Judy Cox Nice, John Jarman, Connie Jarman, and Hallie Jarman.
