M. Alain DUVAL

On September 12, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family, at the CIUSSS Saguenay Lac St-Jean / La Baie Hospital, at the age of 67 years and 8 months, M. Alain Duval, husband of Ms. Guylaine Dassylva, residing in La Baie, passed away.

He was the son of the late Mme Marie-Juliette Tremblay and the late M. Gérard Duval.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 10 am to 2 pm at the Coopérative funéraire du Fjord, 1186, 2e Rue, La Baie.

A celebration of life will take place on the same day, Saturday, September 12, 2026, at 2 pm at the chapel of the Coopérative funéraire du Fjord.

He has been entrusted to the crematorium and his ashes will be deposited in the columbarium of the Coopérative funéraire du Fjord immediately after the ceremony.

He leaves to mourn:

- His wife: Ms. Guylaine Dassylva;

- His children: Christopher Duval (Shawna Grenon) and Caroll-Ann (Francis Dufour);

- His brother: Eveline Duval (Gervais Lepage), the late Gaétan (Josée Dassylva), the late Christine (Guy Michaud), the late Luc, and the late Rénald.

- His brother-in-law: the late Lise Dassylva (Napoléon Sergerie), Thérèse (Gontrand Sergerie), Normand (Madeleine Lachance), Linda (André Duval), Rémi (Claudette Fortin), Claudine (Michel Sergerie), Gervais (Lise Lavoie), Michel (Louisette Grenon), Jacynthe (Guy Morin), Yves (France Pauzé), Carl (Luce Boudreault), the late Carole (Camil Sergerie), Éric, and Josée (the late Gaétan Duval).

- He was the godfather of Kevin Lepage and the uncle of Marie-Ève Lepage and the late Dave Michaud.

He also leaves many nephews, nieces, relatives, and friends in mourning.
