Mrs Anna-Marie Giroux LeFebvre

Peacefully, at the CHSLD of Sainte-Anne-de-la-Pérade, on Monday, September 7, 2026, passed away at the age of 102, Mrs. Anna-Marie Giroux, wife of the late Louis-Antoine LeFebvre and daughter of the late Albert Giroux and the late Antoinette Mayrand.

After graduating as a nurse from the University of Montreal in 1960, she was a clinical professor for 8 years. In the 1950s, she was a permanent propagandist in the diocese of Trois-Rivières for the Catholic Action movements. During the centenary of the diocese, she received the Cross pro Ecclesia et Pontifice.

In 1968 she married Louis and moved to Prince George British Columbia. She lived there until 1986 when she and Louis returned to retire in Batiscan.

The funeral will be celebrated at 11 a.m. in the church of Sainte-Anne-de-la-Pérade and will be followed by interment in the parish cemetery.

She is survived by her husband’s children, Henri (Cecile), Alan Collie (son-in-law), Richard (Louise), Suzanne (daughter-in-law) Noel (Judith) and Alain (Susan) and predeceased by Delores Baza, Bernardine (daughter-in-law), Carmen Foucher (Alain), Pariicia Collie and Louis.

She is survived by her 26 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and her sister-in-law Aline Carpentier (late Raphaël Giroux).

She joined all her brothers and sisters: Antonia (late Lucien Matte), Cécile Sre de la Charité, Thérèse (late Georges Marchand), Gabriel, Constance (late Paul Lachance), Olive, Jean-Marie and Julith Giroux. She is survived by many nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
