Patricia Phenor Stripling

Patricia Phenor Stripling was born September 12, 1962 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Charles Michael Stripling and Clara Jeanette Parker.

Patti will be remembered with affection by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She passed away at her home in Doyline, Louisiana on September 25, 2026 at the age of 64.

For 34 years, Patti devoted herself to SWEPCO as a Warehouse Operator, a steady presence known for reliability, dedication, and the quiet strength of showing up day after day with purpose. Her long career reflected a life grounded in commitment and consistency.

Beyond her work, Patti found joy in simple, meaningful pleasures—fishing, camping, and gardening, and especially in time spent with friends and those she loved. She was deeply devoted to her family, anchoring their lives with a steady presence and always offering a caring phone call or text just to see how everyone was doing. She was a loyal LSU Tigers fan, loved watching sports and she delighted in “road trippin” and exploring. Patti also loved her dogs dearly, and her home and heart made room for them with the same tenderness she offered so freely to others. Known for telling jokes and making people laugh, she brought lightness into everyday moments, leaving behind memories that will be revisited often and treasured forever.

Patricia was preceded in death by her father, Charles Michael Stripling Jr. and her grandmothers and grandfathers.

Those left to cherish her memory include her mother, Clara P. Stripling Lathrem; her brothers, Chuck Stripling and wife, Elaine and Scott Stripling and wife, Stephanie; her sister, Debbie Volentine and husband, Mike; her step brothers, Joey Lathrem and wife, Pam, Benny Lathrem and wife, Jenny, and Michael Lathrem and wife, Beth. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and her special aunts, Gloria McCarthy and Susan Pate, all of whom she cherished and who loved her dearly .

Visitation will be held at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, LA 71108, on October 2, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. A Celebration of Life Memorial will follow at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home on October 2, 2026, at 11:00 am.
