Ray (Rena) Gossack (née Greenspoon)

Peacefully, on her own terms, on Sunday, October 18, 2026 at the age of ninety-seven. Cherished wife of Israel (Sunky) for sixty-eight years. Devoted mother of Hildie, Arthur, and Laury Gossack. Adored grandma Rena of Mitchell and Julie Miller, James and Alison Miller; Andrew Gossack, Nicolas and Jo Gossack. Treasured great-grandmother of Josh, Sophie, and Sydney Miller; Aidan, and Nate Miller. Predeceased by her sister Ida (Otty) Shaffer; and by Sunky’s siblings P.J. and Larry Gossack, Norma and Kenny Gossack, Fred and Corinne Gossack, Syl (Solomon) and Annette Gossack. She will be greatly missed by family and friends. Special thanks to her caregivers Josie, Junie, and Jackie for their compassion and understanding; and the staff at the Vista Residence for their care.

Funeral service from Paperman and Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Friday, October 23rd at 12:00 p.m. Burial at the Chevra Kadisha B’nai Jacob section at Kehal Israel Cemetery, D.D.O. Shiva on Friday, following burial, until 5:00 p.m. at Ruby Foo's Hotel, 7655 Decarie Blvd. The remainder of shiva will be strictly private. Contributions in her memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
