Soan Van Tran

Soan Van Tran, 46, of Port Arthur, Texas, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 26, 2026. He was born on January 1, 1980, in Port Arthur, Texas, to the late Mr. Thanh Tran and Mrs. Thien Tran.

Soan was a deeply artistic person who found joy in creativity and imagination. He had a unique personality and cherished the things that brought him happiness. One of his favorite anime series was Dragon Ball Z, which reflected his appreciation for imagination, adventure, and creativity.

Soan is survived by his beloved children, his 14-year-old son, Rayden, and his 11-year-old daughter, Rachel, and their mother, Thuy Thanh Nguyen. He is also survived by his siblings, Tam Tran, Cuc Tran, Minh Tran, Thinh Allen, Xuan Tran, Henry Tran, and Maryanna Tran.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Khanh Tran and Sony Tran.

Serving as pallbearers will be his nephews, Danny Tran, Charlie Pham, Cody Pham, Timothy Tran, Haden Tran, and Vincent Nguyen.

Soan will be lovingly remembered by his family and friends for his artistic spirit, unique personality, creativity, and the memories he created with those who knew and loved him. His memory will live on through his children, family, and all those whose lives he touched.

Visitation and Rosary will be held at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home, located at 4841 39th Street, Port Arthur, Texas 77642, on Thursday, October 1, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Rosary will be at 5:00 PM.

A Catholic Funeral Mass will be held at Queen of Vietnam Catholic Church, located at 801 9th Avenue, Port Arthur, Texas 77642, on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at 9:00 AM.

Interment will follow at 10:00 AM at Greenlawn Memorial Park, located at 3900 Twin City Highway, Groves, Texas.
