Obituary of Yvon Gravel
On June 26, 2026, at the age of 89 years and 1 month, Mr. Yvon Gravel passed away at the CIUSSS du Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean Centre d'hébergement Jacques-Cartier. He was the husband of the late Mrs. Lisa Jean and resided in Laterrière. He was the son of the late Mrs. Marguerite Laforge and the late Mr. Victorien Gravel.
His family will receive friends and family on Sunday, August 9, 2026, from 9 am to 12 pm at the Complexe funéraire Chicoutimi. A celebration of the Word will be held at 12 pm, with live broadcast available.
He leaves behind his sons: Marc (Maryse Poulin), Sylvain, and Gilles (Marie-Josée Huard); grand-children: Mathieu Poulin-Gravel, Marc-Alexandre, Marianne (Maxime Chassé), and Alexandre; great-grandchildren: Mélodie, Léa-Rose, Charlotte, and Olivier.
He was the brother of: Alain (Lucette), the late Fernand (the late Rita), the late Charlotte (the late Jean-Marc), Marthe (the late Raymond), Jacqueline (Louis-Philippe), the late Raymonde (the late Clément), the late Guy-Etienne (Cécile), and Aline.
He also leaves many nephews and nieces, relatives, and friends.
The family thanks the staff of the Centre d'hébergement Jacques-Cartier for the good care provided to Mr. Gravel. Donations can be made online to the Alzheimer Society of Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean.
