Alba H Evans

Alba Hilda Evans passed away peacefully on May 30th, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Born on June 10, 1941, in Chihuahua, Mexico, Alba was one of eighteen children born into a large and loving family. From the very beginning, her life was rooted in connection, care, and community.

Alba lived with a quiet and radiant kindness that touched everyone she met. She had a remarkable gift for making others feel seen and valued—often considering someone a dear friend after only a single meeting. To many, she became an honorary grandmother or mother, offering warmth, wisdom, and unconditional love to all who were fortunate enough to cross her path.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thomas Patrick Evans. Together they raised two devoted children, Scott and Delia, who remained close to her side and cherished her until the very end.

Alba was a proud and deeply loving grandmother to Haley, Alex, Kyle, and Andrew. She helped raise them with patience, tenderness, and endless affection, instilling in each of them her values of kindness, care, and empathy. She was overjoyed to welcome her first great-granddaughter, Annie, whose sweet presence never failed to light up Alba’s face with a beautiful smile.

Alba is survived by her siblings—Rosario, Martha (Matilde), and Humberto (Socorro)—along with many loving nieces and nephews who will miss her deeply. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law Julie Evans and her niece Patricia Chavira, who lovingly supported and cared for her during her final days with extraordinary compassion and devotion.

During her illness, their tender care and steadfast presence brought great comfort to Alba and the entire family. We could not have endured this difficult time without them.

Alba will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched. She leaves behind a legacy of generosity, gentle strength, and the profound love she gave so freely. Her light will continue to shine in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
