Alejandro Lopez

Alejandro (aka Tasi) López passed away on May 6, 2026 at the age of 87. Born and raised in Ysleta, he lived a full life centered around family, friends, the outdoors, and creative projects. After suffering the loss of his high school sweetheart and love of his life Yolanda Marestein five years ago, Tasi found new ways to enjoy the company of the many people who loved him. He lived a life of adventure and brought joy to everyone who knew him. He is survived by his three children (Jerry, Timothy, and Rick), five grandchildren (Ariel, Timothy II, Matthew, Amaya, and Diego), and one great-grandchild (Bradley). And he experienced the loss of his son Mark in 1990, and his daughter Iris just a few months ago. Services will be on Thursday May 14, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish. 9am viewing, 9:30 rosary, followed by Catholic mass and burial.
