Angelo Giovanni Infantino

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Angelo Giovanni Infantino, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.

Angelo was born on August 20, 1939, in the small Sicilian village of Joppolo Giancaxio, Agrigento, the son of Gerlando and Concetta Infantino. He carried with him throughout his life the warmth, generosity, and strong family values of his Italian roots.

Angelo was the beloved husband of Giuseppina Cacciatore, with whom he built a loving family and shared many years of life together. He was the proud father of three children: Gerlando,(Patricia), Luigi (Renza) and Maria Concetta (Mauricio).

His greatest joy was his family, and especially his grandchildren. He was a loving and caring father and took tremendous pride in watching his grandchildren grow. He cherished Zoey, Andrew, Aidan and Matteo, and the special place each of them held in his heart.

Those who knew Angelo would describe him as affectionate, loving, kind, friendly, and fun to be around. He had a warm smile and an easygoing nature that made people feel welcome. He was known and loved by many friends, neighbours, and family members. Angelo was the kind of person who was always ready to lend a helping hand, never expecting anything in return.

He also had a special love for his flowers and his plants. He took great pride in tending to his tomato plants and growing his beloved “cuccuzze.” He was just as generous with his plants as he was with his time, happily sharing a cutting with anyone who admired something growing in his garden. In this simple act of giving, Angelo showed one of the qualities that defined him so well: he loved to share what he had with others.

Angelo leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, generosity, family, and friendship. His smile, his laughter, his helping hand, and his love for his family will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Though he is no longer with us, his memory will live on in his children and grandchildren, in the garden he loved so much, in the friendships he made, and in the many lives he touched along the way.

He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever in our hearts.
