Anna Ella Frawley, 95, of Fairview Heights, IL, passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.

Anna was born July 28, 1930, in St. Louis, MO to Charles J. and Jennie (Wiszkon) Swan.

She married John Frawley on April 23, 1948, and he preceded her in death in 1997.

She was also preceded in death by her father, Charles J. Swan; mother and stepfather, Jennie and Steve Sobieralski; siblings, Charles Swan and Steve Sobieralski; infant brother, John Lou Swan; great-granddaughter, Eden Gough; and sons-in-law, Mark Lindow and Gerald Redden.

Anna is survived by her dear children, Joanne (Michael) Gough of Fairview Heights, IL, Judi Lindow of Troy, IL, Johna Redden of Bull Shoals, AR and John (Kimberly) Frawley of Collinsville, IL; grandchildren, Kevin, Michael, Justin, Neal, Kendra, Mark, Kariann, Todd, Natalie, Eric, Chad, Cory, Gerald, Cole and Paige; great-grandchildren, Chloe, Claire, Michelle, Kile, John, Kayla, Avery, Camden, Grace, Zachary, Jarrod, Meta, Nina, McKenzie, Brooke, Hayley, Sarah, Connor, Jacob, Nicholas, Laurie, Todd II, Jordan, Wyatt, Anna, Eloise, Paige K., Ella K., Gwendelyn, Renley, Cullen, Ashleigh, Addison, Aaron, Austin, Julia, Emily, Ella R., Bryson; great-great-grandchildren, Cole Samuel, Braylon, Emelia, Krew, and Asher; and her two siblings, Helen (Joe) Connelly of Belleville, IL and Al (Sharon) Sobieralski of Belleville, IL.

Anna passed away leaving behind a legacy of hard work, creativity, and deep faith. For many years, she worked as a meat wrapper at Swift Packing House, where she built a reputation for her strong work ethic and reliability. She continued her career in the industry and eventually retired as a member of Meat Cutters Union Local 534.

Outside of her career, Anna found great joy in the simple pleasures of life. After retiring, she spent much of her time visiting flea markets, where she enjoyed both shopping and selling shoes, until she was 85 years old. She had a creative spirit and was always crafting—whether making decorations, gifts, or small treasures for others, her hands were rarely still.

Anna was a devoted member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Fairview Heights for many years. Her faith was an important part of her life, and she remained actively involved in her church community and gave her time generously.

She will be remembered for her hardworking nature, her creativity, and her strong sense of community. Anna will be deeply and truly missed by all who knew her.

A visitation for Anna will be held on Tuesday, April 28, 2026 from 09:30 A.M.- 11:00 A.M. at Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, IL.

A funeral will be held following the visitation, at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Final interment will be at Valhalla Gardens of Memory, beside her beloved husband, John.

Memorial donations in Anna’s name may be made to BJC Hospice or Masses given to Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Anna’s memory.
