Anna Sybille Hurst

Anna Sybille Hurst, beloved wife, aunt, and friend, passed peacefully on May 10, 2026, at the age of 85. Born on November 6, 1940 in Berlin, Germany - Anna lived a life marked by compassion, grace, and quiet strength.

Anna was a registered nurse whose caring spirit naturally extended into every part of her life. While she devoted time to her nursing profession, she spent much of her life as a devoted homemaker, creating a warm and loving home alongside her cherished husband, LTC (Ret.) William Jackson Hurst, their marriage was one of enduring love, companionship, and steadfast devotion until William’s passing on July 14, 2014.

Though Anna and William had no children of their own, her kindness and gentle presence deeply touched the lives of those around her. She is lovingly remembered by her niece, Amy Henderson and by her nephews, Albert Hurst and Scott Mercier. Her family will forever treasure her thoughtful nature, caring heart, and the quiet wisdom she shared so generously.

Anna will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband at Georgia National Cemetery, where they will rest together in eternal peace. Committal service at Georgia National will take place at 11 am, Thursday, May 21, 2026.

Anna’s life was a beautiful example of love, service, and devotion to family. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
