Anthony Paul (Tony) Pleckaitis was a warm and caring family man.
Born January 17, 1982 to John Pleckaitis and Aldona (Vaicekauskas) Pleckaitis, Tony graduated from Plainville High School where he played tight end and defensive end on the football team. That experience led to his devotion to the New England Patriots, ever his team.
After high school Tony studied auto mechanics and worked in that field for some time then apprenticed as an electrician with K-Co where he became quite skilled.
Tony was introduced to Carly (Kaplan Rothfeld) by a friend and they fell in love. They married on November 1, 2014 and each brought with them a wide circle of friends and loving family.
Tony had great adventures fishing, snowmobiling, attending concerts, and watching football with his friends and family. He especially valued time spent with his immediate family and with Carly. His best times though were with their two children, Amelia and Gabe. He was never too busy to stop and help build a fort, push a trike, read a book or give a hug to his kids. He was an amazing Dad.
He also liked working on his cars and yard. While working in the yard, he had a fatal heart-attack on Thursday, May 7.
He is survived by his wife Carly and his children Amelia (3 years old) and Gabriel (2 years old). He is also survived by his parents John and Aldona; sister Regina (Reggie); sister Christine Pleckaitis and husband David Cabeza and their daughter Julia; brother John and wife Nicole and their son Jonas.
He was loved and will be missed by Carly’s family: Mother and stepfather Ricki and Steve Lacy; Father and stepmother Glenn Rothfeld and Magi McKinnies and their children June and Eli and his wife Frankie, Sister Emma Yashar and her husband David and their children Genevieve and Benjamin.
We hold him in our hearts and in our memories. In this way he will always be with us.
