Arnulfo Martinez Gonzalez

12 août 2026 Dignity Memorial

Arnulfo “Tony” Gonzalez was born on June 19, 1945, in San Benito, Nuevo León, Mexico, to Hilario Gonzalez Cantu and Juliana Martinez Gonzalez. He was one of 14 children.

From a young age, Tony learned the value of hard work and sacrifice. He worked in the fields and traveled between Mexico and the United States for seasonal agricultural work before eventually making California his home.

On March 17, 1966, he married the love of his life, Gloria Coronado. They shared 60 years of marriage and were blessed with four children, Arnold, Irma, Michael, and Jessica, 11 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

Tony worked as a farm labor contractor throughout the Central Valley and, alongside Gloria, owned and operated El Charro’s Mexican Restaurant for 33 years. He was a hardworking provider who dedicated his life to caring for his family.

Tony was also a devoted man of God. He served as treasurer of Templo Sinai in Caruthers, California, and taught his family the importance of faith, service, and keeping God at the center of their lives.

On August 12, 2026, surrounded by his children and grandchildren, God called Tony home. We are comforted knowing that he is healed and resting in the arms of our Savior.

Tony is deeply loved and will be greatly missed. His legacy of faith, hard work, love, and devotion to family will continue through his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all those whose lives he touched.

He is preceded in death by his father Hilario Gonzalez Cantu, mother Juliana Martinez Gonzalez, and brother Hector Gonzalez. He is survived by his wife Gloria Gonzalez and their 4 children, Arnold (Olga), Irma (Alfredo), Michael (Jennelyn), Jessica (Ty), 11 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and his 7 sisters and 5 brothers.
