Barbara Jean Tomek

Barbara Jean Tomek, 75, passed away peacefully at her home on July 31, 2026.

Born on September 2, 1950, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Barbara Keeton. For the past 23 years, Barbara called Stuart, Florida, home, building a vibrant life and a warm community there. A dedicated community leader, she proudly served as a past president of the Duckwood Association. Her commitment to her neighbors made a lasting impact.

Barbara was predeceased by her beloved parents and her brothers, Kenneth Keeton and Leslie Keeton. She is survived by her loving husband, Joe Tomek; her sister, Connie Smith; her sister-in-law, Carole Metro; her devoted sons, Robert Stowers and Seth Stowers, and Seth’s wife, Triffina; and her stepdaughter, Tina Nicolett, and Tina’s husband, Dave Nicolett. She will also be lovingly remembered by her cherished grandchildren, Gaven, Isabel, Keeton, Jeanette, Jaclyn, and Kimberly; her great-grandchildren, Giuliana, Sabrina, Sebastian, JT, and Dominic; and her many nieces and nephews.
