Billie A. Turpin

Bille Ann (Neighbors) Turpin, 88, of Evansville passed away Friday, June 12, 2026 at Bethel Manor in Evansville, IN. She was born January 26, 1938 in Evansville to William and Inez (Nickens) Neighbors. She was one of the first route salespersons for Leo's Bar-B-Q in the early 70s. Billie's hobbies included cooking, baking (especially pies), crafts, flea marketing, and traveling. She enjoyed learning about Native American heritage. Billie attended powwows at Trail of Tears and assisted in gathering clothing for needy Native American children. Billie was preceded in death by her parents, Inez and William Neighbors; sister, Janice Hanmore; and son-in-law, Kevin Foley. She is survived by her children, Lisa Foley, Becky Minton, and Donnie Turpin (Sandy); grandchildren, Derek Tompkins, Amanda Simmons (Trent), Jason Lewis (Jacqui), Stephen Kilgore, Cassie Cox (Joel), and Haley Elpers (Nolan); 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and companion, Victor Harrison. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, June 19, 2026 at Alexander West Chapel, 2100 W. Illinois Street in Evansville. Friends and family may visit from 12 Noon until service time on Friday at the funeral home.
