Billie Brooks Amos

Billie Brooks Amos, age 95, of Clayton, North Carolina, passed away on Thursday, July 31, 2026, in Johnston County. Born on September 24, 1930, he was a son to the late Haywood Bennie Amos and Dillie Pearce Amos. Billie served in the United States Army and later worked as an electrician. He was a member of the American Legion for 70 years. Billie enjoyed crossword puzzles and loved to travel. He was a kind man who will be dearly missed by his family and friends. A funeral service will be held in the chapel of McLaurin Funeral Home at 2:00pm on Tuesday, August 4, 2026. The family will receive friends in the chapel from 1:00pm-2:00pm, just prior to the service. Committal will follow the service in Pinecrest Memorial Park in Clayton.
