Blaine Archer Leighton Jr.

Blaine Archer Leighton Jr., 73, passed away in Jacksonville, Florida on July 26th, 2026.
He was born December 6th, 1952, in Laconia, New Hampshire, a son of the late Blaine Leighton Sr. and Elaine Nordholm. He was an Airman First Class in the United States Air Force and retired from the United States Postal Service after 27 years. Whether it was overnight schedules or double shifts, his devotion and dedication to provide for his family was unwavering. He supported his children through lifes hardships and took great pride in his home projects and updates.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Rosanna Leighton. He is survived by his daughter Holly-Ann Leighton, his two sons David Leighton and Zachary Leighton, and two grandchildren, Parker Campbell and Erica Campbell.He leaves behind his cousins Susan Nordholm and Holly Dance, life-long friend Doug Barnhart, as well as extended family members and friends who will deeply miss him.To honor his support for pet adoption and the immense love he had for his own, the family welcomes donations to the Jacksonville Humane Society in lieu of flowers.Services for Blaine will be held on Thursday, August 13th, 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie RD, Jacksonville, FL 32218. Following the graveside services, the family will gather at their residence for a celebration of life.
