Bobbi June Hillier, 79, of Abilene completed life’s journey on August 19, 2026.Services celebrating her life and faith will be held on Friday, August 28, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Northside Baptist Church in Abilene with Dr. Don Greenway officiating.Bobbi was born on January 25, 1947, in Brownfield, Texas. She was born to the late Lee Roy Allen and Vernell Harper and raised by her beloved grandmother Ocie Adera Harper. At an early age, her family moved to Odessa where she grew up. Growing up she attended Eastside Baptist Church. She was a proud graduate of Odessa’s Permian High School where she could be seen driving the streets of Odessa in her Volkswagen Karmann Ghia. One night at the skating ring she met Bill Hillier this meeting would blossom into something beautiful. Bobbi and Bill married on June 10, 1966. They moved to San Angelo following her husband’s work. After a miscarriage she prayed for twins and God answered with twin daughters, Adera JoNell and Geneva JoAnn. While living in San Angelo attending Bowie Street Baptist Church, Bobbi and Bill got saved and began serving the Lord faithfully. Bobbi and Bro. Bill worked with the teens and she was church secretary. In the early 70’s the Hillier’s relocated to Abilene where they joined North Side Baptist Church and Mrs. Hillier began serving there alongside her husband in children’s ministry and eventually church secretary. She also began a clown ministry where she was “Ms. Lollipop”. She loved the Lord and her church family.Bobbie was exceptionally creative. She quilted and did all types of embroidery work pieces her family will treasure for generations. After her daughters were adults, she entered the workforce. However, her favorite roll was, “Grandma”. Bobbi will be remembered for her faith, honesty, and unique sense of humor. When asked how she was doing she often replied, “Fat and sassy”. She was preceded in death by her parents; one miscarried child; stepfather, Harvey Allen Knust and her grandmother, Ocie Harper.She leaves in the hands of Jesus her devoted husband, Bill Hillier; her daughters, Adera JoNell Parker and her husband Johnny and Geneva JoAnn Greenway and her husband Kevin; grandchildren, Linsey Falkner, Luke Falkner and his wife Destiny; great-grandson, Charles Kelly Falkner; her sister, Robbie Heard; nieces, Felicia and Regina; numerous other relatives, church family and friends.Memorial contributions can be made in her name to Northside Baptist Church 2474 Westwood Dr, Abilene, TX 79603, a place Bobbi loved and serviced.
