Cameron Forbes Jones

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Cameron Forbes Jones, who died on June 3, 2026, at the age of 39.

Cameron was born in Houston, Texas, to Carver and Sarah (Witmer) Jones. In 1997, the Jones family made an epic move to Lakeway, just outside Austin, where Cameron’s deep love for Lake Travis, the Texas Hill Country, and all things “lake life” began. He graduated from Lake Travis High School in 2006 and remained in the Austin area throughout his adult life, pursuing his education, career, and many lasting friendships.

Cameron will be remembered for his kindness, empathy, and generous spirit. He enjoyed spending time with friends—especially on the lake—traveling, catching the latest blockbuster movie, and working on his beloved Shelby Mustang. Above all, he cherished his role as the “fun uncle” to his nephews, Jack and Thomas Harper.

Cameron was preceded in death by his parents, Carver Jones and Sarah Witmer Jones. He is survived by his loving sister, Paige Harper and her husband, Sean; his nephews, Jack and Thomas Harper; and many extended family members and cherished friends whose lives were enriched by his presence.
