Carmen N. Lozano

Carmen N. Lozano, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Carmen was born on December 8, 1937, in Dallas, Texas. She was raised in Dallas and attended Saint Ann's Parochial School and Crozier Technical High School where she graduated in 1957. On a day that would shape the rest of her life, she married the love of her life, Ernest Lozano, in 1961. Together they built a family rooted in faith, hard work, and unconditional love.

Carmen was the heart of her family — a woman whose warmth, generosity, and quiet strength touched everyone who knew her. She found her greatest joy in her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchild. Her home was always a gathering place filled with love, laughter, and good food. She lived her faith every day, and the lessons she taught — about kindness, resilience, and family — will carry on in the lives of all who loved her.

Carmen is survived by her devoted husband of 65 years, Ernest Lozano; her children, Yolanda and Eugene Lucero, Ernest Jr. and Josie Lozano, and Anna Marie and Roland Gonzalez; her grandchildren, Michael Lozano and Kathy, Jesse Ernest Lozano and Amber Arredondo, Joe Dane Lucero, Julie Marie Lozano Varela, Jennifer Saldivar and Gabriel, Elizabeth Chaise Lucero, Evan Diego Gonzalez, Aden Kristian Gonzalez, and Thomas Dylan Lozano; her great-grandchildren, Michael Stephen Lozano, Francisco Javier Varela Jr. Lozano, Mia Grace Lozano, Jesse Ernest Lozano Jr., Anthony Joseph Lozano, Dylan Castiel Salazar, and Mia Isabella Saldivar; her great-great granddaughter, Elizabeth Hope Lozano; and her brother, David Najera. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends whose lives she enriched.

She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Joe Ben Lozano and siblings, Stella Navarro, Beatriz Moreno, Linda Hernandez, Albert Rodriguez Najera, Richard Rodriguez Najera and Albert Rodriguez Najera.

A Viewing and Rosary will be held at Calvary Hill Funeral Home on Monday, August 17, 2026. Visitation from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. with Rosary to follow at 7 p.m. Family and friends are invited to gather to honor and celebrate Carmen's life.

Mass and Interment will be held on August 18, 2026, beginning at 11:00 a.m.

Carmen's love will live on in the family she so fiercely cherished. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
