It is with great sadness we must announce the passing of our Mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend Carol Ann Lefevre on August 19th, 2026 at the age of 80.Mom was surrounded by her family and friend Eva S., as she peacefully slipped away and we are heartbroken to lose someone so special, she was a wonderful woman, no word’s can express how missed she will be.Mom was predeceased by her husband Cecil Lefevre, parents Leonard and Rita Carlson, eldest son Donald Allan Martin (Donny), brother Steve Carlson, sister Judy and brother in law Jack Crandlemine and her grandson Kyle Paul Batiuk.Mom is survived by daughter’s Sherry (Paul) Batiuk, grandson Christopher Batiuk, Deanna (Tim) Duncan, grandson’s Andrew Duncan (Tanya), Darren Duncan, great grandchildren Grayson and Lily Duncan, her son Daniel (Paula) Martin, brother’s Randy Carlson, Bob (Gwen) Carlson, Cliff (Pauline) Carlson, Allan (Daniese) Carlson, special friend Ruth and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.The family would like to thank the 2nd floor staff at Wiigwas Elder and Senior Care, Doctor B. Bowerman, Nurse Practitioner Brandy Milko and special friend and staff Mary Puls for their loving care over the last 9 years.We would love for those that knew Mom to remember her life with us at the Central Community Club in Kenora, Ontario on Sunday, September 6, 2026 from 12:00 to 4:00 pm. Donation’s if one wishes can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society.She Became The Wind.She did not die – she became the breeze,That dances softly through the tree’s.I feel her hand in the Autumn Air,A mother’s touch still everywhere.Though Native Heaven hold’s her soul,Her Love on Earth is still made whole.She whispers peace when night’s grow long,And lift’s my heart like Sacred Song.She is the wind, she is the way –Forever with us day by day.
