Carolyn Karp Meadows passed away peacefully on June 3, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on October 21, 1947, in Bardstown, Kentucky, to the late William and Betty Karp. As a young girl, her family moved to Louisville and belonged to the St. Raphael Catholic Church community. Carolyn was a 1965 graduate of Assumption High School. She married Thomas Meadows shortly after his honorable discharge from the US Army. She worked as a medical transcriptionist before retiring to become a full-time grandma. She was also an active member of Ascension Catholic church for over 50 years.
Carolyn’s most treasured memories surround her family – her husband, children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Tom; her children, Laura Meadows (Elton Vogel), Becky Murray (Brian) and Bob Meadows (Jennifer); her three grandchildren, Alyssa Meadows, Logan Murray and Noah Meadows; her brothers and sisters, Bill Karp (Carol), Linda Tolliver (Craig), Harold Karp (Mary), Mary Carter (Royce; deceased) and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Arch L Heady located at 2428 Frankfort Ave; Louisville, Kentucky on Thursday, June 11, 2026 from 3-7pm.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 12 at 10am at Ascension Catholic Church located at 4600 Lynnbrook Dr; Louisville, Ky. Inurnment will follow mass at Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Ascension Catholic Church.
