Charles J. Iarussi

Charles J. Iarussi, age 84 passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on the morning of May 20, 2026 at UPMC Passavant Hospital.

He was born on January 21, 1942 in Pittsburgh to the late Charles and Helen (Jankus) Iarussi.

Charles retired from U.S Steel after 30 years of service. He loved oldies music, being outdoors in his garden, and spending time with his grandchildren. His greatest joy was watching them do what they love. He loved spending time with his wife, who he lovingly called "Peanut". Family was very important to him and his brother Joe and his wife Linda meant the world to him.

Charles is survived by his wife of 63 years, Vicky; children Delana (Glenn) Melcher, Lynda (Mick) Leo, and Anthony Iarussi; 10 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren with another on the way, brother Joseph (Linda) Iarussi, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son Charles Iarussi Jr. and sister Helen Bruce.

Visitation for Charles will be held on Monday, May 25, 2026 from 2-8 PM at H.P Brandt Funeral Home, 1032 Perry Hwy., Pittsburgh PA 15237. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at 10 AM at St. Alexis Catholic Church, Wexford PA. Interment will take place at Christ Our Redeemer Cemetery.
