Cindy, 60, passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2026. She was in the company of her loved ones and the devoted care of hospice.
Born May 5, 1966 in Charlotte to loving parents of Donald Stines and Margaret Ann Gates, who both preceded her death. She was the oldest of two, with one brother, Jeffery Scott Stines. She attended and graduated from Olympic High School and she then took classes at CPCC where she she took courses in accounting. She married the first time in summer 1989, to Anthony Jones. They had one daughter born in 1991, Alexandria (Whitney) Jones. She married a second time to Jerry Thomas Cibo Jr. in May 2000. They had one son, Jacob Tyler Cibo, born in August of that year. They were married for 26 years until her death.
Cindy was a very loving daughter, sister, wife, niece mother, and friend. She especially loved her children. She could also be the life of the party. She loved to bake and draw and was well known by her husband and children to be a detailed organizer, especially during celebrations and holidays. She had a big heart which could attribute to the many pets she had in her life. In 2010s, Cindy decided to finish her schooling and received her bachelor’s degree from Ashford University.
Cindy died from complications of ALS, where her husband and son were her primary caretakers. She always tried to keep a positive outlook on everything during her fight. She was strong in many ways throughout all the difficulties of life.
