Daniel Castro

28 août 2026 Austin, Quebec Dignity Memorial

Daniel “Danny” Castro at age 62, of Houston, Texas, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday, August 28, 2026.

Born on July 18, 1964, in Houston, Texas, he was the beloved son of Yolanda Villegas and Daniel Luna Castro III. Danny grew up in the Houston Heights, Oak Forest area alongside his siblings and cousins.

An alumnus of Scarborough High School, Danny was a talented athlete, earning a football scholarship that spoke volumes about his dedication and skill. His passion for sports extended beyond football: he also enjoyed playing baseball and would play with local neighborhood teams. Danny loved the freedom he felt when riding his Harley, his F-150 pickup truck, and having his “big ass beer”

He dedicated over 40 years of his life to his career as an electrician. Known for his strong work ethic and keen eye for detail, he was respected by colleagues and clients alike. His commitment to his craft was a testament to the pride he took in his work. A true Castro.

Those who knew Danny will remember him for his quiet disposition and quick-witted humor that could bring a smile to anyone’s face. His ability to find joy in the simple pleasures of life and his unwavering kindness, a gentleman who left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Danny is survived by his siblings, Lisa, Patricia, Carmen, Joe, and Greg. He is the beloved uncle to 5 nieces, 5 nephews, 1 great niece, 2 great nephews and many cousins that looked up to him like a brother.

Danny will always be remembered by all who shared years of knowing him and his funny, crazy antics. Always with his high school buddies,Jesse Olivas who’s family took Danny in and cared for him as a son, who saw him through graduation and Robert Adam’s'-Williams who was his wing man for many years.

Most of all Danny and his big sister Lisa grew up together. Where there was Danny, there was Lisa. They walked the tracks to school, would be late because they couldn’t stop watching the 3 Stooges, climbed trees together picking berries or pears from the front yard. Went crawdadding in places they shouldn’t have been. Always in trouble together, then getting mom’s house shoe thrown at them with the perfect miss. They would laugh so hard only to make mom laugh too.

In Jr High they were referred to as the “ Castro’s” And everyone knew what that meant.

Lisa will be the one to miss Danny the most, forever his big sister but all of Danny's siblings will miss him tremendously.

Danny was preceded in death by his parents, Yolanda Villegas and Daniel Luna Castro III. And is now alongside both his parents again.
