In loving memory of Daniel Curtis Wickens who passed away peacefully at the Victoria General Hospital on June 5, 2026, in this 71st year with his family by his side.
Loving husband of Kim Wickens (Gavard) for 35 years. Loving father of Alicia Brazier of Vancouver, B.C. Brother-in-law to Chris Gavard (Helen). Survived by many relatives and friends.
Danny lived in Victoria all his life and wanted it no other way. He was a very outgoing person and liked to tease and make people laugh. He excelled in many sports including baseball, golf and soccer. His baseball team even won the World Masters Fastball Games in Melbourne, Australia in 2002.
Danny was a well-respected finishing carpenter and enjoyed his career immensely. Some of his favourite holidays were spent with Kim, especially travelling to Mexico many times and to Australia.
Kim would like to thank the ICU staff at Victoria General Hospital for their care and compassion.
