Daniel Davis Reser

22 août 2026 Dignity Memorial

Daniel “Dan” Davis Reser passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at the age of 79. Dan was born September 7, 1946 in Lafayette, Indiana, to Walter and Jane Reser. He graduated from Midwest City High School in 1964 before proudly serving his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War aboard the USS Galveston.

Following his military service, Dan attended Oklahoma State University and later Central State University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology. He went on to work for Sears in various management roles for more than 30 years.

Dan enjoyed painting ceramics and building and painting models of cars, planes, and more. He also enjoyed building Lego’s with his sons and grandsons. A true handyman, he was happiest when he had a project to work on. Once things were taken care of at his own house, he was often looking around his family’s homes for something else he could fix, build, or improve.

Dan was a kind and gentle man with a quiet, easygoing nature. His gentle spirit, steady presence, and quiet way of caring for the people and things he loved will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.

Dan was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Jane Reser.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Catherine “Cathy” Reser; children, Scott Reser, Alissa Finley, Mark Reser and wife Jennifer, and Melanie Readnour and husband Kyle; grandchildren, Taylor, Logan, Wesley, Isaac, ElsA, Alek, Fin, Dylan, Drew, and Derek; brother, Steve Reser; sister, Judy Reser; and other loving family and friends.
