Dean Eldin Boschult

4 mai 2026 Dignity Memorial

Dean Eldin Boschult, aged 88 of Georgetown, Texas, passed from his earthly home to his heavenly home on May 4, 2026. Dean is survived by his wife, Dell, son Brad and his wife Diane, grandsons Christian, Nathan and his wife Christina, and many relatives, numerous dear special friends, along with the various dogs that loved him. Dean was predeceased by his parents, Elmer and Floma Brand Boschult and his father-in-law Kenneth Card and mother-in-law Mae Ensign Card.

Dean was born on January 29, 1938 in Fremont, Nebraska, and grew up on a farm in Chickasaw County, Iowa. He attended a rural, one-room school through 8th grade before attending high school in New Hampton, Iowa. After graduation, he began working on the family farm with his father. Desiring a technical career, he then attended Dunwoody Technical School in Minneapolis, Minnesota and subsequently became employed by IBM in Rochester, Minnesota before eventually relocating to Austin, Texas. Dean retired in 1993 after a nearly 30 year career with IBM. He often said, though, that the best career he had was his retirement.

As a steady, gentlemanly presence in the lives of all around him, Dean especially loved cherished traditions with his immediate family, such as enjoying pizza together on Sunday evenings, and gathering with friends and family on birthdays, holidays and other days of significance. His favorite pastimes included camping, snowmobiling, summer vacations, and attending various activities with Brad, Christian, and Nathan. His chief hobby was building and flying radio-controlled airplanes, which he did enthusiastically all his life. Dean truly enjoyed the camaraderie of his flying friends. Principal in his life was his devout Christian faith, as attending church services and Bible Study were absolute to him. Dean was a loving and faithful husband, and a wise, stoic father and grandfather that forever showed his family what it is to live a caring, compassionate, and honest life.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Dunwoody College of Technology, 818 Dunwoody Blvd. Minneapolis, MN 55403; The Worship Place, 811 Sun City Blvd, Georgetown, TX 78633 or a charity of your choice.
