Denise Trahan

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Denise Trahan on July 28, 2026, at Hôtel-Dieu de Sherbrooke at the age of 75. She was the daughter of the late Gaston Trahan and Noëlla Proulx. She leaves behind her brothers and sister: the late Jean-Claude (the late Mary Coffey), Richard (Lise Vachon), Madeleine (Jules Hébert), and Stéphane. She also leaves her nieces and nephews: Dominique (Martin), Patrick (Véronique), Anik (Cathy), Alexis (Tosha), Victoria (Matt), along with many other relatives and friends. The family will receive condolences at the Coopérative funéraire de l’Estrie, located at 485 rue du 24-Juin, Sherbrooke, on Friday, August 14, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM. A ceremony will follow at 12:30 PM at the same location, with the option to view the ceremony live online. Interment will take place the same day at the St-Michel cemetery. The family thanks all who contributed to her happiness and to the palliative care staff at CHUS-Hôtel-Dieu. Donations to support palliative care at CHUS-Hôtel-Dieu are appreciated.
