Diane Dorothy Zastrow

Diane Dorothy (Sprinkle) Zastrow, 84, of Davenport, Iowa, passed away on August 31, 2026.

Diane was born in Chicago, Illinois, on March 24, 1942. She was a 1960 graduate of Lindblom High School in Chicago and built a career in the banking industry as a bank proof operator, retiring from Wells Fargo Bank in 2007. Diane married James Lee Zastrow on May 14, 1966. Together, they shared 55 years of love and companionship until his passing in February 2021. One of their favorite pastimes was attending car shows across the Midwest with their antique car, creating many cherished memories along the way. Diane will be remembered for the smile she always had on her face and for the joy she brought to those around her. A woman of Catholic faith, she treasured her family, her memories with Jim, and the moments that made life special. One of her favorite memories was renewing her vows with Jim for their 50th anniversary, officiated by Elvis in Las Vegas!

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jim; her parents, Coy Sprinkle and Delores Sprinkle; her son-in-law, Marty Cox; and her sister-in-law, Mary Sprinkle. She is survived by her children, Gary Zastrow, Deborah Cox, and Dawn Leach and her husband, John Leach; her grandchildren, David Cox, Cody Connolly, Megan Cox, and Dylan Leach; and her brothers, Bob Sprinkle and his wife, Rita, and Bill Sprinkle.
