Dixie Dean Mobley Short, of Loganville, Ga, passed away on July 15th, 2026, in Warner Robins, Georgia at the age of 89. Born on Jan 23rd, 1937, in Lawrenceville, Georgia, to Lessa and Carl Wilkerson, Dixie is survived by her 3 sons, Donald Avery Mobley, Richard Alan Mobley (Karen), and Charles Randall Mobley (Sherry). She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Dixie was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Grady Short, a granddaughter, Dana Nicole (Nicki) Mobley, and a grandson, James Randall (Jamie) Mobley.
Dixie was a Published author of the book “Two Gone, Too Soon”, and was a loving mother, devoted grandmother and great grandmother, and a cherished friend to many.
Dixie will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her generous spirit, and her love for her family.
Celebration of Dixie’s life will be held at Eternal Hills Funeral Home, at 2pm on August 1st, 2026.
