Donald Hoskinson, 81, passed away peacefully on July 30, 2026, in his home in Mt. Morris, PA following an extended illness.
Born on December 12, 1944, at home in Mt. Morris, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Harry and Leota McClure Hoskinson. He graduated from Mt. Morris High School in 1962.
Donald served his country with honor and duty as a member of the United States Army. He had just landed in Okinawa, Japan in 1965 when he was called home following the death of his brother, H. Ronald Hoskinson, in Vietnam.
In 1966, Donald married the love of his life, Carolyn Sue Bolyard, who survives. They shared over 60 years together, raising two children and enjoying grandchildren and great-grandsons.
He worked as a coal miner, rose to General Mine Foreman, and retired from Consol in 1991. After retirement, he enjoyed working part-time in construction, fixing almost anything, helping family and friends, and traveling to Myrtle Beach to golf.
