Dr Gilles Dupuis

Dr. Gilles Dupuis, Ph.D., was a renowned scientist and dedicated educator who led a remarkable life grounded in humility, perseverance, and devotion to family and science. Born in rural Québec, he earned his degrees from the Université de Montréal and the University of Pittsburgh. Gilles spent over four decades at the Université de Sherbrooke as a professor in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, mentoring generations of students and contributing to scientific research in biochemistry, immunology, and neurodegenerative diseases. He was known for his kindness, curiosity, and integrity. Dr. Dupuis moved to Toronto in later years to be closer to his family. He leaves behind a legacy of love, mentorship, and scientific achievement.
