Edwiges Rodriguez Avalos

We sadly announce the passing of our mother Edwiges Rodriguez Avalos which occurred on Tuesday, September 1st of this year in El Paso, Texas. She reunited in eternal peace with her husband, our beloved father, Isabel Simon Avalos who passed away before her, now leaving both a memory full of love and strength for their family which includes daughters Lucy Avalos, Teresa Walton, Both of Fort Worth, Texas, Tina Melendez of El Paso, texas and son Jose Avalos of Santa Teresa, New Mexico. Her family also includes nine grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.She will be remembered for her sense of humor, creative, restless mind and the affection she always gave to those around her. The family appreciates the expressions of support and companionship during this time of mourning.Visitation will be held Thursday, September 10, 2026 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a vigil at 7:00 pm at Funeraria del Angel Central, 3839 Montana Ave. El Paso, Texas 79903. Funeral Mass will be held Friday, September 11, 2026 at 9:30 pm at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 2709 Alabama St. El Paso, Texas 79930 with the committal to follow at Evergreen East Cemetery, 12400 E. Montana, El Paso, Texas 79938.
