A life so joyfully lived deserves to be celebrated with the same warmth and love that Elizabeth “Liz” Ann Guerrazzi shared with anyone who was fortunate enough to know her. At the age of 69, Liz leaves behind a legacy of optimism, kindness, and countless lives made brighter simply because she was part of them. Though we will miss her every day, thinking of her will always bring a smile to our faces.
Born in Queens, New York, Liz was the first of five children born to Yvonne "Evie" Viana and Charles "Buzz" Viana. She is survived by her beloved husband of 46 years, Albert; her son, Albert Jr. and his wife, Rose; her daughter Maria; her adored grandsons, Jaxson and Max; her father, Charles; her siblings, Yvonne, Laura, Johnny, and Charlie; sister and brother-in-law, Toni and Mike Clyne; and countless nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends whose lives were forever enriched by knowing her.
Liz married her high school sweetheart, Albert, and together they built a beautiful life over 46 years of marriage. They were true partners in every sense of the word, raising a family, working together, welcoming friends, chasing adventures, and creating a home filled with love, laughter, and unwavering devotion. They rarely did anything apart, and even their weekend errands became one of the many simple traditions they looked forward to. After moving to Florida in 1980, Liz continued building a life centered on family and friendship and there was nothing she cherished more. She was dedicated to her career and coworkers for more than 30 years working at Badcock Home Furniture.
A wonderful cook and gracious host, Liz effortlessly brought everyone together for holidays, birthdays, dinners, and countless celebrations. Thoughtful in ways both big and small, she had an ability to anticipate what others needed before they ever asked. When it came to her children, she was their unyielding advocate, our own ‘F. Lee Bailey’, always ready to stand beside them, and make sure they knew they were loved unconditionally.
An unforgettable road trip with her dear friend, Pat, sparked a lifelong love of travel, adventure, and connecting with people. No matter where she went, she never met a stranger. She had a genuine curiosity about others, loved hearing their stories, celebrated their successes, and had a remarkable way of making everyone feel like they mattered. In fact, during one trip to a shoe store, she spent so much time chatting with the sales lady that by the time she left, the two were hugging goodbye. That was Liz.
The greatest way to honor Liz is to live as she did, with a happy, open heart, a welcoming smile, unwavering devotion to family, endless curiosity about others, and the belief that joy is meant to be shared. No matter the circumstance, she had a remarkable way of making you believe everything was going to be okay. She was love, she was light, she was fun, and her spirit will continue to live on through everyone who knew and loved her.
