Elizabeth Haskell passed away in Magog on August 11, 2026, at the age of 86. She was the wife of the late George Markwell and resided in Coaticook.
The family will welcome relatives and friends at the Charron Funeral Home on Monday, August 24, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. A farewell ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. at the Memorial. Burial will follow at Crystal Lake Cemetery in Stanstead.
She is survived by her children: Emerald (Gaétan Martel), Leah, and Sarah. Her grandchildren: Joy Markwell, Tracey Martel (Mats), Alexander Martel (Tapisa), Sophia-Rose Branch, Silver Branch, Grant Kirby (Brianna), and Kelly Kirby. Her great-grandchildren: William, Abigael, Brandon, Brianna, Cole, Elma, Emma, and Eva. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.
The family would like to thank the palliative care staff at Magog Hospital for their excellent care.
