Elizabeth Jessica Pease

Elizabeth Jessica Davidson Pease, 79, of Dallas, Texas, went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 18, 2026 after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. Elizabeth (Betty) was born March 30, 1947 to Emma and Rudy Davidson in Cleveland, OH. She grew up in Madison, along the beautiful shores of Lake Erie, which she spoke of often. Her family enjoyed stories of a childhood along one of the magnificent great lakes with her older sister, Lois, and big brother, Rudy. She had a deep appreciation for the joy found in beauty which led her to a lifelong interest in creating beauty – from the aesthetically pleasing spaces she created as an interior designer to the care and whimsy she put into her annual Christmas cookie collection that delighted her children and grandchildren every year.

But it was her volunteer work as a high school student at a nursing home which sparked a love for working with the elderly - something she did up until the early days of her diagnosis. Her time volunteering with Journey Ministry at Highland Park United Methodist Church, a faith-based respite program for those with Alzheimer’s and dementia, brought her incredible joy each week.

In 1982, Elizabeth met the love of her life, Jim Pease, on the tennis courts. They married on January 15, 1983, creating a wonderful, blended family of 6 children. Soon after they wed, Jim’s job with Amoco took them to London, England, where the family enjoyed their time as “expats” - fully embracing the culture, music and cherished friends they met abroad.

Prior to moving to Dallas, the couple resided in Houston and Lake Conroe. Wherever they lived, Elizabeth was actively involved in the community. She served as a board member of the Montgomery County Performing Arts Society (MCPAS) for many years. She was also an amazing hostess, whether hosting a few friends for coffee, a political fundraiser, or a group of international musicians for the Young Texas Artists Music competition. But her favorite was hosting our large family gatherings. She loved being surrounded by family, especially at Christmas - where there was always plenty of singing, dancing and love.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her precious husband, Jim, also of pancreatic cancer in 2022.

Elizabeth is survived by their children Jeri (Pat) Donais, Ginger (Joel) Richman, Jeff Pease, Hallye (Joe) Terrell, Hillary (Kevin) Gorman, Ryan (Adriana) Buck, 15 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, and her sister Lois Davidson Elliott.

Services will be held Monday, September 14, 2026 at Highland Park United Methodist Church in Dallas, Texas, with Reverend Linda Roby officiating, followed by a reception. Please see details below.
